GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

Your Contract

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Kaunos Tours (and the villa management company Kaunos Villas), which has been officially registered with TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) under registration number A-3830 since 1993 and is based in Dalyan, Ortaca, Turkey. These terms apply to all reservations including tours, accommodation, car hire and transfers. Certain conditions may vary depending on whether you book a package holiday or individual travel services such as flights only, accommodation only or other travel arrangements (“Separate Elements”).

Where you book Separate Elements, we will act as agent for the relevant supplier(s) (e.g. airline or accommodation provider) and your contract will be subject to the supplier’s terms and conditions, which may limit or increase your rights and will usually be governed by international conventions. Copies of such conditions are available on request. Where you book a package holiday, your contract will be with Kaunos Tours. Please read the applicable package holiday terms carefully.

No contract shall exist between you and Kaunos Tours until your booking has been confirmed by us and full payment has been received. Kaunos Tours reserves the right to decline any booking. For online bookings, the contract will be formed once you accept the booking conditions at the end of the booking process and your full payment has been received.

All services are subject to availability.

By making a booking you confirm that you are authorised to accept these terms on behalf of all persons included in the booking and you accept responsibility for all payments due from each member of your party.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all information you provide is accurate and that all information provided by us or our suppliers is passed on to every member of your party.


Online Bookings

When booking online you must provide all information requested. The credit card used must belong to you (or, if it belongs to a third party, you must have their express authorisation to use it) and there must be sufficient funds available to cover the cost of your booking.

Once we receive and accept your booking, we will send confirmation by e-mail and record the payment as a debt. We do not warrant that accommodation, flights or other services will be free from viruses or other harmful elements.


Telephone Bookings

When booking by telephone you must provide all requested information. The credit card used must belong to you (or, where applicable, be used with the cardholder’s express authorisation) and must have sufficient funds available.

Once your booking is accepted, the payment will be recorded as a debt and a confirmation invoice will be sent to you. Cancellation charges will apply from this point. Please check all details carefully and inform us immediately of any errors, as amendments may not be possible later.


Payments

All prices include VAT. Kaunos Tours accepts payment by Visa or Mastercard, or cash in Turkish Lira, British Pounds, Euros or US Dollars. Online payments may only be made by credit card. If you wish to pay by bank transfer, please contact us for our bank details.

Banks may charge additional fees for card payments; you will be informed accordingly and are responsible for such charges. We do not accept liability for cash sent by post or courier.

Full payment is required to confirm all bookings. If full payment has not been received, the booking will be treated as provisional and the balance must be paid no later than 60 days prior to departure. Where a booking is made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in cancellation and cancellation charges will apply. Kaunos Tours reserves the right to amend brochure or website prices prior to booking.


Cancellations

Cancellations must be notified by e-mail to bookings@kaunostours.com.

Package Tours, Accommodation, Car Hire:
• 90+ days before start date – 100% refund
• 89–60 days – 70% refund
• 59–30 days – 30% refund
• Less than 30 days – no refund

Day Tours and Transfers:
• 22+ days – 100% refund
• 21–16 days – 70% refund
• 15–8 days – 30% refund
• Less than 8 days – no refund


Conduct

You are responsible for ensuring that neither you nor your party behave in a manner that causes distress, damage or loss to others or to property. Kaunos Tours reserves the right to terminate your arrangements without notice if your behaviour is deemed unacceptable. No refunds or compensation will be payable in such circumstances.


Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any cancellations or changes arising from events beyond our control, including but not limited to war, civil unrest, natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, pandemics, strikes or technical problems.
